The Tasks Module – Streamlined Task Management
The Task module is a powerful tool that is integrated with every other module in TourTools. Create task reminders from within Client, Tours, Bookings, Operations – they will all come find you on the Dashboard when the Action Date arrives; there are also some instances when TourTools will automatically create Tasks for you.
When you sign in to TourTools, a list of Tasks assigned to you that fall within the date range specified will appear on your Dashboard.
About the color coding system for the Dashboard: Tasks more than a week out will be have no color highlighting; those Tasks that fall with “this week” will be green, those due today will be yellow, and deadlines that have passed will be highlighted in pink.
As you deal with each Task, mark it as completed by checking the “Completed” box on the dashboard or entering today’s date in the “Date Completed” field from the Task Detail View (click the up-arrow button to the left of any Task). In the Detail View, use the Task Notes field to make any further remarks. Any records that do not have to be kept once completed can be deleted by clicking on the trash can button in the bottom right corner or to the right on the task list.
